The Aptana IDE iPhone Development Plugin is one of the first IDE to enable AJAX application development for iPhone. Aptana IDE aims to increase your iPhone development productivity. I have installed the IDE yesterday, but didn’t have much time to play with it and testing its different features. But you will feel very familiar with the interface if you are already working with Eclipse or Aptana IDE before.

Aptana iPhone plugin came with all of the rich Web 2.0 development support including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Features include :

Morfik Chess application was on the first applications showed by Morfik as demo of their Scriptor technology and how it converts desktop applications from Pascal to Javascript. Today iPhone users can play with iChess, an optimized version of the AJAX Chess application for iPhone. The game works perfectly also on other browsers IE, Firefox and Safari. Just a tip, that iChess is playable even without internet connexion. You can give it a test, and you will see that it’s not that easy to beat your iPhone in chess.

Zoho announced yesterday that their office suite Zoho is now available for iPhone as iZoho. The new iDesktop include three applications the Zoho Writer, Sheet and Show. Currently the edit option is available only for Writer, for spreadsheets and presentations you have only the view options, but certainly more options will be coming soon. The applications have been developped with the Zoho API in record time according to the blog post, while they seems interested in iPhone development since January 2007. Anyway good to see it ready in launch day.
