Mark Lucovsky, Software Engineer Google, pushed a new sample of Google AJAX search for iPhone. The code provides an AJAX interface for Google search, image, news and blogs that anyone can use, clone, modify … etc. To make Google AJAX Search suitable for iPhone, Mark said that they :

• Used the Raw Searcher Layer which is fully documented and is the base layer used in all of our advanced search controls
• Followed the iPhone web-development guidelines published by Apple
• Designed the sample to be readable on the 320×480 device without the need for excessive zooming
• Positioned the various controls to account for the size and accuracy of the human finger
• Took advantage of the fact that the iPhone keyboard will adapt itself to the “type” of input control (note the search button in the bottom right of the keyboard)
• Used an appropriate link target to ensure that links open on a new page leaving the search page intact and ready for another search

The AJAX Search API is designed for developers. When your applications can take advantage of search, we provide you with everything you need in order to seamlessly integrate that search experience onto your site. You can control size, position, color scheme, searcher mix, result fidelity, etc.

Just don’t broke your iPhone screen with this, iTouch is a funny game where you have to play and test your iPhone skills for tapping. Quickly tap the center of the target as fast as you can to earn points. Missing the target will take off a life. After a quick delay, the target will move, so if you aren’t quick enough, you’ll miss it. As you get further, it moves faster. After accumulating 1,500 points, you will gain an extra life. Scoring depend on the color and size of the target and goes from +10 to +150.

Avalanche is one of my favorite games for iPhone, simple, easy and fun. It works also on any other browser, so I spend few time playing on PC, probably it remind me tetris. The game is fully written in JavaScript, but seems there is no gameover, you can play forever ! Just watch your batteries.
